The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Bank Teller (Customer Service Representative). The incumbent is responsible for providing special payment support to District of Columbia Human Resources (DCHR), OCFO, and other District agencies for all items not associated with the regular payroll processing.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Collects, consolidates, and enters permanent and temporary changes through PeopleSoft pay lines.
- Researches, reviews, and analyzes back pay settlement agreements to ensure proper payment is made to employees.
- Reviews, analyzes, and processes W2 form discrepancies of employees’ concern in conjunction with the Special Pay Officer and the Payroll Financial Officer.
- Analyzes, researches, processes, and sets-up salary collections, leave audits, retro-active payments, incorrect retirement benefit plans, health benefit plans, miscellaneous collections, shelter annuity refunds and severance payments.
- Analyzes and audits the annual leave report for accuracy of payment, verifying accuracy of hours, adjust hours as needed due to employee indebtedness to agency and/or transfer of leave to Federal Government.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years of progressive experience performing related duties and responsibilities such as: processing payroll using an automated software system; researching, reviewing, analyzing, and auditing pay transactions; creating journal entries; preparing direct deposit returns; and providing customer service support to end users. Incumbent must have experience working with PeopleSoft HCM or similar automated payroll/human capital system and have the ability to apply and interpret policy.
